This Committee responds to the Holy See’s legal agencies such as the Dicastery for Legislative Texts, and advises the Church in Japan on the interpretation and application of Canon Law. While addressing issues related to the administrative and legal system of the Church the Committee works to stabilize the legal order and operation of the Church in Japan through the legal development of dioceses and religious orders, the coordination of practices and forms, and liaison and coordination among diocesan chanceries.
