This committee is engaged in the study of formation and the necessary factors of permanent deacons (certified by the Holy See in 1998) in the Church in Japan, under the responsibility of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Japan. The committee also communicates and coordinates with the Committees for the Formation of Permanent Deacons in the dioceses where this system was introduced.
